   Don Hopper & his beautiful P-51 are shown here in these photos.  As you can see Don has it painted up for high visibility with invasion stripes & a bright checkerboard tail. 

Not just bright, but detailed.  Take a close look at the dashboard visible through the canopy.  Clearly (pun intended), the Lexan canopies from Jack Devine's are first-class.  

All of the fiberglass parts, such as the cowling of this P-51, are hand-laid, tough and flexible epoxy-glass process.

This P-51D shown below was one of the early versions of our P-51D's.  In the early days of the company and the technology, this was an example of what "Sport-Scale" meant at the time.  Although this is a good-looking P-51D, die-hard scale modelers will spy the canopy somewhat too far back on the fuselage, and a few other details.  Any of the models that fell this short of Jack Devine's criteria were immediately slated for retooling.  Upon the new release of the retooled models, you'll find only true lines far better than anything expected of a "Sport-Scale" model, but the bonus is the terrific head-start scale modelers love when choosing a scale project.
