This is a very nice P-47D that unfortunately was lost in a crash.  Photos below.

You may wonder why we would chose to put photos of a crashed plane on our website. Good question.  Take a look at this plane closely.  Click on a photo and see the damage up close.  It hit the ground HARD.  You can easily see that the wings popped in half upon impact, but notice that the wings themselves sustained little damage.  Look at the fuselage.  It's still straight, and it's primarily intact.  Why?  Because the foam-core technology creates energy-absorbing components!  Jack Devine models are TOUGH, and made to take the punishment a model can be subjected to.
