Jim Gray is shown below with another one of Jack Devine's Models, an FG1-A with a modified cowl to 
make it into an F2-G Corsair.  The F2-G is relatively rare compared to the F4-U models.
Note the unusual 'Bump' configuration cowl in this version.  Jim modeled this 
after Cook Cleland's Thompson Trophy racer (1948 - 1949).

Jack Devine's own 72"  F4-U Corsair.  Equipped with a detailed cockpit, pilot, Robart rotating retracts, and powered nicely by a Magnum 1.08 XL motor with a pitts-style muffler, glassed and painted with automotive basecoat/clearcoat, this model came in at just under 13 pounds and flies very well.

This corsair was modeled after a full-scale Corsair of VC-61 during the Korean war, which flew off of the USS Valley Forge in 1950.  Graphics and lettering are vinyl and were applied under the clearcoat.  Nice looking bird, Jack!
